Assessments
All clients that come through our services will undergo an initial assessment to find out how we can best support them. We involve parents and caregivers in the assessment process and find the results often provide clarity, a sense of relief, and a starting point for the way forward.
In order to ascertain which assessment to undertake, an initial free 30 minute meeting takes place with parents/caregivers.
Speech-Language Therapy Assessments
These can consist of observations at school, parent/caregiver questionnaire, teacher questionnaire, student questionnaire and a formal assessment based on the following:
- Self-awareness
- Social interaction skills
- Receptive and Expressive language
- Pragmatic language (social use of language)
- Social Understanding
Occupational Therapy Assessments
These can consist of observations at school, parent/caregiver questionnaire, teacher questionnaire, student questionnaire and a formal assessment based on the following:
- Sensory Processing
- Activities of Daily Living
- Fine/Gross motor skills
- Handwriting
- Anxiety

Free initial interview times:
Tuesdays – 30 minutes slots between 9 am – 1 pm
Thursdays – 30 minutes slots between 12pm – 3pm
